Abstract Submissions

On behalf of the ICBI 2027 Organising Committee, we welcome abstract submissions for consideration as an oral or poster format for the scientific program.

If you have previously submitted an abstract for ICBI 2025 prior to its postponement, you must resubmit a new abstract by following the instructions below.

Please read submission instructions and general policies below before submitting an abstract.
Abstract submissions will close on Friday 18 September 2026.

Submissions open: 5 June 2026 (World Environment Day)
Submissions close: 18 September 2026
Notification to authors: 30 October 2026 *
Author registration deadline: 15 January 2027

  • Abstracts must be submitted via the abstract submission portal only. Email submissions will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Abstract submissions must be a maximum of 300 words.
  • Do not include headings and/or references.
  • Abstracts must be added in the available fields of the submission portal.
  • It is the responsibility of the submitting author to ensure that the submission has been approved by all listed authors.
  • The Organising and Program Committees will not be responsible for any errors in the abstract submission.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in the abstract submission portal by Friday 18 September 2026.
  • Abstracts will not be accepted via fax, email, mail or USB/CD.
  • All required fields on the online abstract submission form must be completed.
  • All presenting authors will be required to register and pay for the Congress to ensure that their abstract(s) are included in the final program. The registration deadline for presenting author/s is Friday 15 January 2027.
  • It is the responsibility of the submitting author to ensure that the abstract is submitted correctly.
  • After an author has submitted their abstract, they must check their submission to ensure the document has been uploaded correctly. Authors can check their submission by clicking on the viewing option in the submission portal.


The Congress Managers and Organising Committee will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the portal or for submission errors caused by internet services outages or other unforeseen events.

If you encounter difficulties accessing the submission portal, such as firewall restrictions, consider trying the following solutions:

  • Access the portal on a desktop, as it is not optimised for small mobile devices.
  • Use a different browser; the portal works best with Google Chrome.
  • Connect to a different network, such as your personal internet connection. Organisation firewalls often block access, but switching to a non-workplace network typically resolves this issue.

Submitting Your Abstract

All abstracts must be submitted online via the submission portal by the submission deadline.

  • Access the submission portal here.
  • Sign in or create an account: To begin your abstract submission, first create an account. If you already have an account, sign in to the portal using your account email address and password.
  • Update contact information: Once signed in, you will be asked to update your contact information. This step is REQUIRED before accessing the full abstract submission portal features.
  • Access and complete the abstract submission: After completing your Profile, you will be able to see the submission feature.
  • Confirmation email: On successful submission of an abstract, you will receive a confirmation email.


After submission, authors will not be able to edit the abstract. Please ensure that the abstract is correct before submitting. During the submission process, the abstract can be saved for editing before final submission.

If authors need to edit the abstract after submission and it is before the submission deadline, please email Congress Managers at icbi2027@arinexgroup.com.
